You're still the object of every pragmatic man's desire, or at least this one. Let me know when you're coming back to the West Coast!

Matt A. - Sunday, January 27th, 2008 12:12 PM EST
Nice! A fellow Mainer crossing the big bridge and keeping it real!
Good luck with your new album (the demos sound great)!

p.s. if you have a sister named Heidianne tell her the voice of the plant said "hey" (if you don't have a sister named Heidi..sorry, wrong number)

So anyway, there I am working out at the gym, minding my own business, pumping the proverbial iron, when suddenly the MPs cover of "When You Were Mine" comes on my iPod. Oh. My. God. Forgot how perfect this track is. I had to play it 4 times in a row. And every day since.

Aaron K - Friday, May 19th, 2006 10:25 AM EDT
In case you forgot, I'm the guy Tony introduced you to (former TMP AD). It was great meeting you last night - sorry I couldn't stay for the set, but I'm glad I picked up your CD. It's great stuff - way better than anything Ted's every done. Let me know when your next show is... I'd like to hear some new stuff too!

Great band and music. You guys are awesome. You need to get Sandy's butt back to Texas and quick. SXSW sure is fun.

Girl named Sara got to your Myspace page from my blog and left me this comment: "Listening to the MP's makes me feel like I am sugar coated. And not with that Splenda crap, the REAL sticky sweet stuff. Thanks for keeping me updated on good music."

Good for her. I think I know who it is.

Wanted to ask: Have you heard all the great Prince bootlegs? I've got scads of them.

Adamonkey - Sunday, July 3rd, 2005 11:03 AM EDT
Hey MP - Thanks for sending the new CD - will review it soon! Just wanted to mention that I read your bio and thought it was funny that we both wrote theses on Prince in school - mine was also on sexual ecstasy as religious salvation (and vice versa) and I threw in a comparison with Baudelaire. Pretentious and ridiculous paper, but fun to write. Anyway, glad to see things are going well -
Best, Adam (READ/readmag.com)

EAVS - Sunday, March 20th, 2005 4:31 PM EST
Do you have the guitar tabs for your songs, Marianne? I want to pretend to me in the band and play them along to the
cd! And when are the Marianne Pillsburys coming back to London?

Michele Damato - Wednesday, December 29th, 2004 10:16 AM EST

Josh - Tuesday, November 16th, 2004 2:35 PM EST
I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm shrieking on the inside.

Josh - Tuesday, November 16th, 2004 2:21 PM EST
Hey TWM:

I'm the guy who sold CDs at your IPO gig, and for whom you so graciously (and devilishly cleverly) signed a copy. Just wanted to say, in addition to totally digging your live (and all-too-brief) set, I think the record is great. I often think that in the blurry world of quote-power-pop-unquote, there is a danger of the music sounding generic. A lot of the bands sound the same. What usually makes a band stand out, for me, is generally the songwriting-- having the songs. (Here's the part you can quote me on:) The Wrong Marianne is loaded with peppy, catchy songs that are touching, wry, intelligent, quirky (in a good way), vulnerable, and most significantly, spot-on wicked funny. (end of pull quote.) To be honest, I bought a copy before your set even started, just based on the song titles ("Layaway Girlfriend"? "Ex-Ex-Boyfriend"? How could this not be great?)

So Boo Hoo, not only did I want an autograph, now I wrote you a fan letter! I feel like a giddy teenage girl at Shea Stadium in 1964. But without the shrieking.

Ken - Tuesday, November 9th, 2004 12:10 PM EST
Just heard "objects in the mirror" on launchcast. I liked it. So glad you're playing in NYC. I'm thinking of dropping by one of your shows. Do youm think I can get my 12 year old son in? Is your show appropriate?

Siobhan - Monday, November 8th, 2004 8:13 PM EST
I have to tell you, your songs make me happier than chocolate and sex combined! Yo absolutely rock and you should come to Denver!

Ken Mowery - Thursday, November 4th, 2004 4:29 AM EST
Hey Marianne - remember me? I reviewed your CD for Indie-Music.com several months ago. Anyway I still dig your CD, just thought I'd stop by and see if you still wanted to get married. lol I'm kidding. Hope all is well with you! Thanks again for the cool CD.

etehoy - Wednesday, June 9th, 2004 3:29 PM EDT
Hey I can't believe I found you after so many years. The last thing I remember about you, were your green eyes coasting through the air during your triple jump event.

When are you coming to up to Anchorage?

Dee - Wednesday, May 26th, 2004 2:22 PM EDT
I love your album. Come back to DC soon!

Jesuino - Friday, April 23rd, 2004 8:04 AM EDT
Hello,
I´m from Brazil.
I saw your album review in Splendid ezine.
I am Junkmail´s ezine editor.
Have you a e-mail contact?
Thanks,

Fiona - Saturday, April 17th, 2004 8:55 PM EDT
I love your music. You remind me of Liz Phair before she sold out, and Julianna Hatfield. Do you have any plans to play live in Washington, DC? There are a lot of cool people here who would appreciate what you do. Think about playing at the Velvet Lounge or DC9 in the cool U Street neighborhood.

veronica - Thursday, April 15th, 2004 1:38 PM EDT
just heard your music on yahoo.launchcast. love it! will go hunt down the cd now...when you playing nyc again? or hoboken?
